Hallowe’en
On
the 31st October 2003 Hallowe’en was the school auditorium, where about
200 students and teachers watched in their seats. This parade was
organized by the English Club – The Smart Ones.
The show began with the presenters Sara Alves and Alexandre telling us
what was going to happen. Then the English trainee teachers told us about
the story of Hallowe’en: not only about "trick or treat" but also about
its origins by reading us an interesting text in English and in Portuguese.
Then the parade finally took place. The jury evaluated the students’
costumes, they way they walked and how much they scared us.
After the parade and as we waited for the jury’s decision we took a break
and we watched the "Making of" "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets".
When the jury had finally made their decision we announced the winners and
gave the awards.
On the same day the English Club "The Smart Ones" promoted a film session
at lunch time. The film was "Adams Family" and it was a big success!

que eu sei sobre...
O Halloween vem de origem celta. Na Grã-Bretanha, há pouco tempo, faziam fogueiras à volta de bonecos com disfarce de bruxa.
Em Portugal, foi há pouco tempo que o Halloween chegou.Também fazem um jogo com maçãs, em cada maçã escrevem palavras e depois metem dentro de um tacão, e as crianças tentam apanhar uma maçã com os dentes e aí descobrem o seu futuro – a brincar, claro.
O Halloween também é uma brincadeira porque nos assustam com máscaras, roupas e mais coisas. E nós, como pessoas, assustamo-nos.

O Dia do Halloween significa em português o Dia das Bruxas. Neste dia, nós vestimo-nos de bruxas, como vampiros, feiticeiros, etc.
O Dia do Halloween celebra-se a 31 de Outubro. Quando se vai de porta em porta, diz-se Tric-or-Treat, em inglês, que em português significa "rebuçados ou susto": isto é, se derem rebuçado não apanham um susto, se não derem… Em Portugal não se celebra o Halloween, mas celebra-se o Dia do Bolinho

No Halloween, podemo-nos mascarar de bruxa, de fantasma… e "amandar" ovos. Também se atiram rebuçados e pastilhas e muito mais.
O Halloween é para se mascarar como se quiser. Tem unhas grandes, teia de aranha…
